Terms of Service

Last updated: May 21, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the opensources.work website and the free tools we offer through it, including our live demo and chat assistant. By using this site, you agree to these Terms. Paid engagements are governed by a separate written agreement, which controls if it conflicts with these Terms.

Who We Are

This site is operated by opensource.works, a US-based company providing open-source business systems, ERP implementation, managed hosting, and technology consulting.

Our Services

We help businesses plan, build, and run open-source business systems. Information on this site is general and provided for evaluation. The exact scope, deliverables, pricing, and timelines for any engagement are defined in a written proposal or agreement — not on this website.

Live Demo Environments

When you request a demo, we provision a temporary, dedicated demo instance for evaluation only. You agree not to use a demo for production, to store real or sensitive personal data in it, or to rely on it for business-critical work. Demo instances contain sample data, are provided “as is,” and are automatically deleted after approximately 30 days. We may modify or remove a demo at any time. How we handle demo data is described in our Privacy Policy.

AI Chat Assistant

Our chat assistant uses a third-party AI model (Anthropic’s Claude) to generate replies. Responses are produced automatically, may be inaccurate or incomplete, and are not professional advice. Please do not submit sensitive personal information through the chat. See our Privacy Policy for how chat data is handled.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the site or our tools — including attempting to disrupt, overload, gain unauthorized access to, or reverse-engineer any part of the service, or using them for any unlawful purpose.

Intellectual Property

The branding, text, and design of this site are owned by opensource.works. The open-source software we implement is licensed under its respective open-source licenses. Ownership of work delivered in a paid engagement is set out in your agreement — we believe you should own what you pay for.

Disclaimers

This website, the demo, and the chat assistant are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, opensource.works will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this website or our free tools. Liability for paid services is addressed in the applicable engagement agreement.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which opensource.works is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
